So, the Qualifiers are finally upon us, and Saturdays game will determine whether Burley can continue the great form shown by Scotland in the European Championship qualifiers of the last 2 years. Lets hope so.
I have heard it said its an easy group, but lets face it, EVERY game is key, as was proven in the Euro's with the 2-0 away defeat in Georgia.
Lets also hope the standard of refereeing is higher than in the Euro's too, im sure you all know the game and incident to which i refer, and the signs are good judging from the international football i have seen this year, international referee's seemed to have had a wake up call.
George Burley has called for him not to be judged on the friendlies, but from saturday onwards, and we only have to hope he can deliver the goods as a bad start would almost seal his demise after the previous good form shown by Walter Smith and Big Eck.
But saturday will be telling, more over, the way we START saturday will be telling, and that and that alone could decide whether we qualify or miss out once again.
But regardless, the usual rules apply, BEER, KILTS and DANCING IN FOUNTAINS!
See you saturday!
SLAINTE!
