The Yorkshire Tartan Army came about due to this post on the Tartan Army Messageboard, after it was realised that there was a large number of Scotland fans within the region although there was no system of meeting up which led to everyone doing their own thing.

The idea was to have a system where individuals could meet up to watch matches on tv if they weren't able to make it to the stadium, or share travelling expenses when heading up to Hampden.

It is hoped that if there is enough interest then transport could be organised such as a bus to Hampden for home matches.
